Dr. Neal deBuhr, DC

Dr. Neal is the founding doctor of Thrive Chiropractic. He was born and raised locally in Cedar Falls, where he learned to make hard work, discipline, integrity, and purpose the backbone of his educational and professional career. With a big heart and a passion for serving and giving back to his community, Dr. Neal feels incredibly blessed to share the gift of chiropractic.  

Dr. Neal graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport) in 2019, where he worked as a sport and injury rehabilitation clinical intern under Dr. David Jeuhring. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Physiology/Pre-Medicine.  He’s also trained underneath Dr. Winchester, a former medical director for the St. Louis Cardinals, as well as Dr. Greg Rose with Titleist Performance Institute with the PGA.

In clinical practice, Dr. deBuhr brings thousands of hours of continuing education courses across a plethora of techniques to each and every case. This allows him to provide an all-encompassing and world-class clinical experience to each and every patient. His ultimate goal is to ensure and empower every single patient with the knowledge, skill, and capacity to be better than before and Thrive.

At the end of the day, our health and quality of life is all we have. Investing in ourselves is an investment Dr. Neal stands behind, as he practices what he preaches by staying active, playing and watching sports, and eating clean. Outside the office, Dr. Neal enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is active in his church, loves to laugh and crack* jokes, and enjoys building relationships with people he feels blessed to have met.

  • On top of his Doctorate, he has accrued hundreds of hours in sports medicine, manual therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, corrective exercise, clinical nutrition, and biomechanics. He has studied treatment protocols from the Motion Palpation Institute, McKenzie MDT Method, Gonstead, Thompson, Diversified, Toggle, NIMMO, Flexion-Distraction, Activator, Active Release Technique, DNS, FMS, Graston, and more.

Dr. Jacie Klein is a movement-focused chiropractor dedicated to helping patients get out of pain and back to doing what they love. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating summa cum laude with academic honors. Prior to that, she completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Northern Iowa.

With advanced training in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and level 1 certification in dry needling from the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association, Dr. Jacie takes a comprehensive, root-cause approach to care, going beyond symptom relief to identify and treat underlying movement dysfunctions. She was also actively involved with the Motion Palpation Institute and High Velocity Low Amplitude Education Systems (HVLA Education Systems) further refining her hands-on treatment skills.

Dr. Jacie specializes in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, extremity issues, and chronic or recurring injuries. Her treatment approach blends chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, dry needling, and individualized rehabilitation to deliver results that last.

Passionate about patient-centered care, Dr. Jacie believes that education and movement are key to long-term health. Whether working with active individuals, families, or those simply looking to move and feel better, her goal is to restore function, improve resilience, and help patients take control of their health.

She is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment where patients fell heard, understood, and confident in their care. Outside of the clinic, you'll find Dr. Jacie at the gym, trying local foodie spots and coffee shops, or hanging out with her husband and two cats.
